Indie luminary and guitar legend Terry Bickers is back with new music and a new band Terry Bickers & The Inner Spiral. Inner Spiral sees the founder member of House Of Love and Levitation enlisting a cast of highly versatile players to perform a new body of work that promises to be semi-autobiographical by nature, scintillating by execution.
The first fruits of the Inner Spiral labour is a sublimely beautiful track entitled ‘Keepers‘ which is available to stream on May 30th. There will also be an incredibly covetable limited edition of just one hundred 7” singles to buy at the 2 forthcoming live shows this weekend – Terry Bickers & The Inner Spiral will be performing at The Butler, Reading, on Saturday May 31st and the Lexington near Kings Cross on Sunday 1st June.
Speaking of what to expect from these upcoming gigs, Bickers hints: “We’ll be playing some old, some new, some borrowed and some blue!”
The Inner Spiral wider studio project is confirmed to feature contributions from House of Love compadres Matt Jury (bass), Pete Evans (drums), former Milk and Honey Band member Dan Burke (vocals, guitar & keyboards), The Trudy’s Melissa Jo Heathcote (vocals & keyboards), and Jacqueline Atwood (saxophone); all of whom will also feature in the Terry Bickers & The Inner Spiral live band.

With influences as far flung and disparate as The Blue Nile, Magazine, The The & The Velvet Underground, all feeding into his current creative mindset, the new material comes primed with the promise of being unlike anything Terry has put his name to before.
Terry Bickers is a singular guitarist whose distinctive style helped shape the sound of British alternative music. His work with The House of Love and Levitation stands out for its atmospheric depth and emotional intensity, blending shimmering textures with an almost instinctive melodic sensibility. Bickers’ playing is both inventive and expressive, often elevating the songs he contributes to with a haunting, otherworldly quality.
